Ballots have hit mailboxes for the Washington State Primary Election, and it’s time to cast our votes for the candidates who will stand with us at the bargaining table and the picket line, and fight for us in the halls of power.
Our local leaders create legislation that directly impacts our rights as workers, our level of safety in our workplaces, and our healthcare systems. With all of this and more on the line this Primary Election, it’s up to us to cast our ballots to ensure the right people represent us.
Electing pro-worker legislators has led to groundbreaking wins in the WA state legislature, including:
- Mandatory overtime protections for healthcare workers
- Requirements for employers to protect workers from musculoskeletal injuries
- Safe staffing in our hospitals
- Public healthcare and behavioral healthcare funding

Turn in your ballot via mail or to a ballot dropbox before 8pm on August 6.
P.S. The last day to register to vote online or by mail is July 29. You can register in person at your local elections office through Election Day.
