Kaiser Permanente Washington and SEIU Healthcare 1199NW reach tentative agreement 

SEIU Healthcare 1199NW concludes bargaining, and will join the Coalition of Kaiser Permanente Unions, in holding contract ratification vote

Renton, WA — Kaiser Permanente Washington and SEIU Healthcare 1199NW are pleased to announce that they have reached a tentative agreement for a new 4-year labor contract. With this tentative agreement, SEIU Healthcare 1199NW withdraws its notice for a strike scheduled to begin this week and will join 11 local union members of the Coalition of Kaiser Permanente Unions across the country in voting on contract ratification.

National Bargaining between Kaiser Permanente and the Coalition of Kaiser Permanente Unions concluded on October 13, 2023. Bargaining with SEIU Healthcare 1199NW in Washington continued to address issues in local bargaining.

Voting begins November 1. Out of respect for the ratification vote process, details of the agreement will be made available after the ratification vote concludes. If ratified, the agreement will have an effective date of November 1, 2023.

The tentative agreement reached between Kaiser Permanente Washington and SEIU Healthcare 1199NW today complements the tentative agreement reached by the Coalition of Kaiser Permanente Unions on October 13, 2023.
